INMANTEC ART COMPETITION (IACU17)

If we Count, Picasso to Hussain; different painters from different cultures, different traditions have striven to express their feelings through art. While color, texture, form and lines are important to the compostion, emotions are often the driving force behind the creation of artwork. Not everyone can make a living depicting of their moods by creating endeavors, but almost everyone can pick up a brush and find a new way to convey emotions. This stands the main motive why we are organizing Art Competition this year with an exclusively ordinary theme – Seasons.

ELIGIBILITY – The contest is open to any student from class 10th onwards till post graduation. Contestant should have a valid student identity card to be eligible for participation. The entry in the competition will consider on individual basis. Participants are supposed to bring their own colors (which could be pastel, Crayons, water colors) with brushes and other stationary. Only free hand drawings are allowed use of any kind of stencils, scale etc. is prohibited and will lead to disqualification. However if any participant involved in any kind of indiscipline activity then he/she may be disqualify immediately.

DATE OF CONTEST – The date of competition is 8th April 2017. The entries for the Competition can be submitted till April 07, ’17, midnight (Indian time). However on the spot registration will also be done but to reserve your seat it is advised to get register yourself till 7th April, 17.

TIMING – On the spot registration will start from 9:00am till 10:30 am. The competition will start at 10:30am and go until 12:30pm (duration 2 hours)

PRIZE – The top2 entries will be recognized by INMANTEC through cash awards. However Selected 12 Paintings will be made a part of INMANTEC ANNUAL CALENDER each winner/runner up will receive a copy of the calendar through post, once it published.

EVALUATION CRITERIA – The decision of the judges will be final and binding and cannot be challenged. Four basic criteria will be used viz. (1) Relevance to theme (2) Expression (3) color scheme and (4) creativity.

THEME – The broad theme for this contest is four seasons. However participant can use his imagination related to seasons. SEASONS may imply Nature (flowers, animals, landscapes), humans, age, relationships, street life, colors, festival, traditions, patriotism etc. As Humans are blessed to be born with an ability to express their emotions through colors also.
