One Day National Workshop on Total Quality Librarian

Librarianship is a noble profession. Its prime motto is to provide services in the best possible manner to the users. The impact of Information is visible in our day-to-day work. If the quality of information is not up to the mark, then it would adversely affect the organizations performance as it directly influences decision making process. A Total Quality Librarian participates in the day-to-day activities of Library services & save the money of the Organization. He strives for continuous improvement in library resources and services.

To minimize the expense and maximize the output different aspects of quality, are essential for a Total Quality Librarian. If a librarian adopts these qualities, he can become a Total Quality Librarian who will be able to maintain library and its services even in crisis period. Quality adoptions in each aspect of life differentiate between an ordinary and a Total Quality Librarian. Many librarians in the profession are not able to meet user expectations due to lack of these qualities. Keeping this thought in our mind we have developed a Concept “Total Quality Librarian” and have tried to give a platform to the Library Professionals to groom themselves and learn few things on different aspects of qualities.

It is our pleasure to share with you that Information Resource Centre, INTEGRATED ACADEMY OF MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY (INMANTEC), Ghaziabad is going to organize a One Day National Workshop on “Total Quality Librarian” for Library & Information Professionals on April 18th, 2016.
